Name: Peyrassol Cotes de Provence 'Commanderie de Peyrassol' Rose
Sub-Region: Cotes de Provence
"Not quite as impressive as the 2017 at the same stage, a tank sample of the 2018 Cotes de Provence Rose Cuvee de la Commanderie was nevertheless a solid effort. A blend of 45% Cinsault, 29% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 6% Rolle and 5% others (Cabernet, Carignan and Mourvèdre), it boasts modest melon and spice notes on the nose followed by a medium-bodied palate with a fine, silky feel and a finish that resembles wet stone."

"This is one of the entry-level wines from this estate. It is full of crisp but ripe red-berry flavors balanced by zesty acidity. The lightness and poise come from the addition of white grapes in the blend, enhancing its final freshness. Drink now."
