From the Importer:
"Just shy of 4000 bottles of this glorious wine were made in 2013. The grapes were harvested in a start/stop fashion due to some challenges with rain, which meant Siro had separate fermentations going at once in this vintage. The juice stayed in contact with the skins for over two weeks. The wine was racked and went through malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. In January 2014 the wine went into 20HL botte and one 500L tonneau for 12 months.
My notes are relatively brief and straightforward. Elegant. Bright fruit. Great minerality. Fine tannins. So much depth and complexity. Fruit leans to the darker end of the spectrum at the moment. Seems to be holding back another gear or two right now. This is going to be special. I have a good feeling about where this wine will go. Certainly accessible today but it won't give all its got to give in my opinion for a couple of years. After that it should be ready for prime time."
