Martinelli Zio Tony Ranch Pinot Noir
Russian River Valley
"The 2011 Zio Tony Ranch Pinot Noir has aromas of ripe black cherry, black plum, cinnamon, and cloves. This wine is concentrated with layers of voluptuous black cherry and black raspberry preserves, and a long and velvety finish."

"The 2011 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch stands out for its sumptuous, layered personality. Absolutely nothing is out of place. Dark red/purplish fruit, rose petals, mint and spices all flesh out in a striking Pinot endowed with gorgeous depth and pure resonance. It's all about layers of fruit and pure resonance here. This is another quintessential dramatic, large-scaled Pinot from Martinelli, one of the great names in Sonoma viticulture and winemaking. "-- Antonio Galloni

"The spicy 2011 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch reveals notions of clove and cinnamon as well as background oak, and broad, rich, savory flavors. Along with the Biondi Home Ranch, it is one of the most concentrated 2011s. However, none of the 2011s possess the density of the 2010s or 2012s. The fully mature Zio Tony should be consumed over the next 1-2 years.
