Vinous Review: 90 points
"The Rkatsiteli variety is of Georgian origin, and is thought to be among the oldest wine grapes in the world. This odd but compelling variety has a long history in the Finger Lakes, as it was among Dr. Frank’s original plantings back in the 1950s. A longtime fan favorite, Dr. Frank’s Rkatsiteli used to be produced only in tiny quantities, but they have recently expanded the acreage so that the wine can be released into the broader market. This particular vintage boasts a flinty, exotic nose of crushed flowers, white peach, and lemon oil. The palate is light and lifted, with an electric energy and a salted lemon rind quality to the finish."
