Name: Chidaine Tres P Tempranillo
Producer: Francois Chidaine
Wine Advocate Review:
"The red 2012 Tres P is a blend of about 60% Monastrell and 40% Tempranillo, all harvested by hand. The wine is spontaneously fermented in stainless steel using the indigenous yeasts. After fermentation the wine is aged in tank for about eight months and then bottled. The wine is extremely young, it must have been just bottled. Dark purple-colored, the nose is an explosion of strawberries, raspberries, lactic notes and a touch of spices, with some reminiscences of carbonic maceration. The palate shows good fruit, with the Monastrell character showing stronger than the Tempranillo, some fine-grained tannins, low acidity and a bitter finish. It needs food, like some lamb chops."
