Name: Forlorn Hope Gemischter Satz
Country: United States
Producer: Forlorn Hope
Varietal: White Blend
From the Winery:
" Borne of Lodi grower Bob Koth's love for German and Austrian varieties, this wine is produced from a block of vineyard which contains close to 40 different cultivars. With no one variety dominant -- there are roughly 5-7 vines of each -- it is a true chorus of voices. Individual notes can be discerned; as a whole, it is a beautiful representation of the Koth's Mokelumne Glen Vineyard. Inspired by the gemischter satz field blends of Vienna, the entire block is picked, pressed, and fermented in one 700L puncheon. Aged 14 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered."
