Alsatian Whites of Domaine Trimbach Flight
Founded in 1626, Domaine Trimbach is one of Alsace's most acclaimed wineries and produces two of the world's most extraordinary dry white wines, the Cuvée Frédéric Émile and the Clos St. Hune. This is one of my personal favorites of the world's wineries and I am very excited to share these wines with you.
We tasted these wines together on March 17th. You can watch it here:

2018 Domaine Trimbach Riesling Classic, $25.99
The 2018 Riesling is clear and intense on the nose, coming along as a dry, fresh, and well-structured classic with lingering grip and a crisp finish. The wine is dry, has finesse and a straight but elegant character with a good fruit intensity and a lingering salinity.

2015 Domaine Trimbach Pinot Gris Réserve, $30.99
From purchased grapes from the Haut-Rhin department, the 2015 Pinot Gris Réserve displays perfectly ripe and concentrated mango fruit with smoky flavors. On the palate, this is a rich and fruity, very fine and elegant Pinot Gris in the dry style. The 2015 was bottled with 14% alcohol and seven grams of residual sugar. It is an excellent Pinot Gris that can stand next to even the Geisberg Grand Cru due to its richness and structure.

2011 Domaine Trimbach Riesling Cuvee Frederic Emile, $84.99
Trimbach’s 2011 Riesling Cuvee Frederic Emile leads with a fascinating nose mingling quinine and smoky black tea with the more usual lime, white peach, and crushed chalk. Silken-textured and generously juicy with hauntingly bittersweet inner-mouth floral perfume, it opens up in an infectiously juicy manner. Lentil sprout, peach kernel, and almond oil add to the diversity of flavors already intimated on the nose in a superbly sustained, bell-clear, and invigorating as well as surprisingly and delightfully buoyant finish.
