Another Superb Value Red Burgundy
The 2017 Domaine de la Madone Beaujolais-Villages "le Perrone" is an absolutely wonderful red wine - nothing like the thin, insipid wines we often associate with Beaujolais. It is medium-bodied with loads of delicious red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, red currants), lovely soft tannins on the mid-palate, and an enthralling aroma of red fruits and smoky mushrooms.
The Wine Advocate agrees, rating it 92 points, describing it as, "superb... generous... terrific..."
And it is an incredible "bang for the buck" at only $12.99. It is definitely a wine to purchase by the case!
