The Montepeloso a Quo has long been one of my personal favorite everyday Tuscan red wines. I am sure I have tasted at least ten vintages over the years. It is a blend of Montepulciano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Marselan, and Alicante from Maremma, and in the 2017 vintage is just a fabulous wine for only $17.99.
Medium-bodied, dry, with loads and loads of black and blue fruits, beautiful floral notes and a sumptuous finish - it is such a pleasure to drink - you'll find yourself opening a second bottle or a third.
James Suckling agrees with us, saying: "Aromas of blueberries, blackberries and minerals with a sandalwood and violet undertone. Medium to full body. Tight, polished tannins. The aftertaste is full of berries and hints of fresh herbs. 93 points."
And so does Wine Spectator, also rating it 93 points!
