Fom our Wine Director:
"Shafer Hillside Select is perennially one of my personal favorite Napa Valley red wines - or, more accurately, one of my favorite red wines period, and the 2015 vintage certainly does not disappoint. Almost impenetrably dark in color, which promises intense flavor and a long life, with an evocative nose of dark fruit, mocha, saddle leather and underlying oak. On the palate, it is youthful, concentrated, very full-bodied with integrated but present tannin structure. Drink 2023 to 2033, or 2028 to 2045 in the magnum."
- Hoyt
From our Wine Director:
"One of the top echelon of Napa Valley reds and one of my personal half dozen favorites. An enthralling bouquet bursts explosively from the glass and fills the room, dark fruit and lavender on the palate, massively concentrated, with a finish that just goes on and on. Deserved of its reputation - a world class wine for sure. Drink 2025 to 2040."
